International / State Smart Statuses

Edited

Alt Legal's smart statuses can assist with docketing statutory deadlines in over 160 jurisdictions. They can also be used in combination with our automatic reminder/status check generation to create customized entries for your account.

Applying Smart Statuses

First, navigate to the Details of the Matter and set your mode to Edit in the top right of the matter details page.

Next, you'll scroll down to the “Status” field in the mark and delete what is currently there. Begin typing “Registered” and a dropdown will appear, allowing you to select "Registered". Make sure to actually click the dropdown “Registered”.

The software will then ask you to update any required fields. Once the required field(s) are entered, the software will generate a renewal/file maintenance documents due date.
