There's an optional time-tracking feature in Alt Legal called the Journal. Once enabled on your account, it is available on each matter on the right-hand side of the page:

When you open this section and click the Add new journal option, you'll be prompted to add some additional information, including the hours spent and the activity. The assigned Collaborator and Journal entry date can be adjusted before saving.

Save each entry separately, and once you have information in the system, you'll be able to filter your docket in the Matter Dates filter by Journal entries after, before, or between specific dates:

You can also export this information into Excel to import it into whatever firm-wide billing and invoice system ends up being selected. When you click the Export button in the top left of your docket, select Excel, and make sure to select Journal as one of the Entry Types to include from your dialog box:
